Isshinji Temple is a Jodo sect Buddhist temple founded in 1185. It is famous for its Buddha statue made from the ashes of 150,000 corpses. A ceremony is held every 10 years to create this statue. There is no admission fee.

Isshinji Temple boasts several attractions, including the five-story pagoda, the Golden Pavilion, and Gokuraku Jodo Garden.

Tsutenkoku means "building that leads to heaven."
This tower is located in the Shinsekai district and features a statue of the god of fortune, Billiken, on the fifth floor. It is believed to bring good fortune if touched with the sole of your foot.
