For those visiting Hokkaido, I recommend visiting Otaru as well. Most people prefer to visit in winter, where the snow is more abundant.

We visited in summer, but it wasn't too hot. Getting there is very convenient, taking the train.

The Otaru Canal is a curved canal that runs along the bay and through the city. People often come here to relax, unwind, or take a boat cruise.

The atmosphere is pleasant and you can walk along it at a leisurely pace.
