"Kitaichi Hall" is located inside the "Kitaichi Glass Building No. 3," facing Otaru Sakaimachi Street. The interior is lit by 167 oil lamps, creating a restaurant and cafe with a classic atmosphere thanks to its soft light and historic architecture.
Kitaichi Glass Building No. 3 was originally a wooden-framed, stone-clad warehouse built in 1891 as a fishing warehouse. It was renovated in 1983 and opened as a glass shop and coffee shop.
The building itself is designated as Otaru City's Historic Landmark No. 21.
The magical space, as if time has stopped, exudes a nostalgic atmosphere.
The scent of lamp oil wafted through the air.
Depending on the time of day, live piano music is also played.
The royal milk tea is known for its deliciousness, so I ordered the royal milk tea soft serve and vanilla soft serve.
Both were delicious.
