"Kanae Shojuan" is a Japanese sweets shop that you often see in department stores. It is a Japanese sweets shop that originated in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. In 1985, with the belief that making Japanese sweets is about creating ingredients, the company reclaimed the forests of Oishi and opened "Sunai no Sato" as a factory with a farm. The vast grounds, planted with plums and yuzu, have natural streams and paths that make use of the forest, making it a place where you can enjoy eating and shopping. There are Japanese sweets shops, plum wine, bread, plum soft serve ice cream, and more that you won't find in department stores, giving you a special feeling. There are also cafes and restaurants, and many people come for the authentic meal. There is also a path leading to the top of the mountain, making it an easy hike. If you climb to the top while enjoying nature, you can see a beautiful view. During the plum season, you can also view the plum grove.
