Arc de Triomphe in Paris

The Arc de Triomphe, also known as the "Gate of Heroes" in Paris, was built by Napoleon to celebrate his military victories and honor the bravery of the French army (he really loved himself 😂).

This monumental structure is grand and intricately carved. It is located at the intersection of 12 avenues, making the view from the top absolutely breathtaking! It is one of the iconic symbols of Paris.

You can stand beneath it to admire the extravagant carvings or climb to the top for a panoramic view of the Champs-Élysées stretching all the way to the Louvre. Visiting at night for the city lights is also incredibly romantic ✨.

The Arc de Triomphe is truly massive and majestic. It's hard to imagine how it was constructed and carved back in the day.

On the day of my visit, the weather was too hot to climb to the top and see the perfectly arranged 12 radiating avenues.
