The Temple of Truth, a must-see landmark in Pattaya, is not only a religious building, but also a temple of wood carving art. It is recommended to start from the main temple gate as soon as you enter and slowly appreciate the temple exterior, the wood carving details are really shocking. Then take a tour along the temple’s interior, where you can follow the tour instructions and see the different themed areas as you go. Remember to look up at the roof carvings while noticing the mythological figures in each corner, especially the central main hall, which merges an ancient Indian cosmology with Chinese, Thai gods and heavenly beings in communion.
Must-play items:
If you have enough time, you can take part in the wood carving workshop experience in the temple and try to carve small ornaments in person. You can also observe the craftsmen carving on site, watching a large piece of wood slowly turn into a work of art, and savoring the beauty of the craftsmanship.
