Attractions - the Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower is one of the most recognisable icons of Penang Island. This Memorial Clock Tower was built by local billionaire Cheah Chen Eok in year 1897, to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. This tower is sixty feet tall, one foot for each year of Victoria’s reign.
