The Royal tombs at Petra

Before visiting one of the 7 wonders of the world T Petra, many travellers may believe that the main and perhaps only site is the famous treasury. However, those, who decide to walk further into the site are welcomed by a huge archaeological site with an amazing amount of features.

One of these can be found just a short detour uphill from the main trail, where 4 ornate and spectacular royal tombs can be found overlooking the dramatic surroundings. The royal tombs are so elaborate it has led many to believe that these were those of the most prominent members of this ancient society. #aprilblooms #petra #tomb
