The days I went were from June 20-25, 2013. At that time, the bay was almost completely closed, I think, because I didn't see any boats docking on the shore. I asked the guide, and he said something like they were restoring nature. I chose a day I thought there would be fewer people. And indeed there were few (very few Thais). 95% were foreigners.

I'd like to encourage you to give it a try. Krabi is truly beautiful. I wanted to take more photos, but there were so many people. This is the only photo I've selected from 50-60. 😆
