Phi Phi Viewpoint is one of the most iconic attractions in the Phi Phi Islands, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the twin bays of Ton Sai and Loh Dalum. Located on Phi Phi Don Island, the viewpoint is a must-visit for anyone exploring the area.
The hike to the viewpoint takes around 20 to 40 minutes, depending on your pace. The path is a mix of stairs and jungle trails, making it moderately challenging, especially in the heat. However, the effort is rewarded with an unforgettable view of the island’s unique shape and turquoise waters.
There are actually three official viewpoints:
* Viewpoint 1: The first rest stop with seating areas and refreshments.
* Viewpoint 2: The most popular spot with a wide panoramic platform and signage. (Best one)
* Viewpoint 3: The highest and most peaceful of the three, offering a more expansive view.
*
The best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon, when the sun isn’t too strong and the light is ideal for photography. Sunrise and sunset views from the top are especially stunning.
Highlights:
* Stunning aerial view of Phi Phi Don’s sandbar and surrounding sea
* Great spot for sunrise and sunset photography
* Small entrance fee helps maintain the trail and viewpoint area
* On-site cafes and shaded areas to relax
