#Wat Thammarat #Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

#VisitAyutthaya Wat Thammarat is a temple where there are still monks living. It was built by Phraya Thammarat, son of King Sai Nam Phueng. Therefore, it is assumed that it was built before the establishment of Ayutthaya and was also the ordination site of King Uthumphon.

The highlight is the rare Buddhist art that can be seen in many places at Wat Thammarat, such as the reclining Buddha and the round pagoda with 52 lions surrounding it as stucco.
