Wat Thammarat
.. Formerly known as Wat Mukharat, it is a former royal temple during the Ayutthaya period.
.. Located in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, next to the ancient palace and Wat Phra Si Sanphet.
.. Built by Phraya Thammarat, son of King Sai Nam Phueng.
.. Its main feature is that it is the temple where the head of Phra Thammarat was found, which is considered to be the largest and most important bronze Buddha head in Thailand.
