🎈Wat Thammarat was originally called Wat Mukharat and was built by King Sai Nam Phueng, the ruler of Ayutthaya Sri Ram Thep Nakhon. Therefore, it is an ancient royal temple built before Ayutthaya became the capital. The temple is located next to the ancient palace on the east side. It is a temple where the king would regularly come to listen to sermons on Buddhist holy days. Inside Wat Thammarat, there is a large reclining Buddha, the head of Phra Thammarat, and Luang Pho Khao. People often come to ask for blessings for protection from danger and help with legal cases.
🎈Head of Phra Thammarat, a bronze Buddha statue in the U Thong art style, of which only the head of a large Buddha remains today. Therefore, it is assumed that the original Buddha image must have been a very large Buddha image.

🎈Inside the temple, there is also a reclining Buddha, Phra Phuttharamikarat Mahalap Udom, which people often come to ask for blessings. And bring holy water to cure diseases and illnesses. It also helps to escape misfortune.
