When visiting Bangkok, Thailand, we decided to take a day trip to visit Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand, and it was nothing short of amazing.

Located about an hour’s drive from Bangkok, Ayutthaya is a UNESCO World Heritage site and it not difficult to see why. It is a beautiful historic ancient capital with architectural ruins, and a great place to see ancient temples. There was so much to see and explore - we had a wonderful time!

Highly recommend to wear comfortable shoes as there will be quite a bit of walking.
