#Places to visit near Bangkok • Wat Ratchaburana is located in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. It was built by King Borommarachathirat II or Chao Sam Phraya in 1967. It is one of the largest and oldest temples in the province. It is famous for being robbed by a group of thieves who dug up the crypt inside the main prang in 1956 and stole a huge amount of treasures. Later, the Fine Arts Department continued to restore and excavate, finding many remaining treasures and gold objects. Currently, the treasures in the crypt are kept in the Ratchaburana Room in the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum. #Ayutthaya is worth visiting #trip #Thai temples #Old temples
