The traces of Ayutthaya's history are so valuable that they were registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991. If you're planning a trip to Bangkok, I recommend visiting there at least once.

There are various historical sites in Ayutthaya. Among them, Wat Yai Chai Mongkol is where you can see a huge reclining Buddha and a chedi.
