📞Hello, hello. I heard and responded.

Wat Phra Si Sanphet is part of the Ayutthaya Historical Park. It is a model for Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram (also known as Wat Phra Kaew) during the Rattanakosin period. It was a temple within the royal palace and had no resident monks.

The temple's highlight is its three Sri Lankan-style chedis, which contain the royal ashes of Ayutthaya kings.

It used to house Phra Si Sanphet, an important Buddha image cast in solid gold, before being burned during the Ayutthaya period in 1767.

To explore the old city of Ayutthaya, we recommend chartering a tuk-tuk (rickshaw) for a negotiable price. This experience offers a nostalgic atmosphere and eliminates the hassle of searching for parking.
