Take a walk in the middle of the old city and admire the beauty of Wat Phra Ram.

Experience the ancient atmosphere at Wat Phra Ram, a significant temple located near Bueng Phra Ram and Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit. Upon entering the temple grounds, one immediately senses the grandeur of the old capital.

The most striking feature is the large prang, which stands majestically in the center of the courtyard. Although time has caused some parts to decay, the structure remains beautiful, reflecting the exquisite and powerful craftsmanship of Ayutthayan craftsmen. I stood looking up at the prang, imagining its former grandeur, captivating the devotees.

Around the prang are surrounding chedis and ruined temple walls for visitors to explore. The atmosphere is tranquil, with the wind blowing through the old brick ruins, making one feel like they've truly traveled back in time to the Ayutthaya period.

A short walk further brings us to Bueng Phra Ram, a large body of water next to the temple. The view reflecting the afternoon sunlight is breathtaking and refreshing. It's a perfect place to sit, relax, enjoy the view, and capture the tranquil atmosphere.

What I loved most about Wat Phra Ram is the tranquility of the temple. Even though it's in the middle of the city and teeming with tourists, the atmosphere remains warm and inviting, inviting a leisurely stroll.

Before leaving, I glanced back at the prang, thinking, even though it's been hundreds of years. But Wat Phra Ram still vividly tells the story of Ayutthaya's glory.
