Having the chance to visit Ayutthaya, we couldn't miss finding a chill-out spot by the river. Our friends recommended The Summer House, a charming cafe and restaurant on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Upon arriving, we felt like we were in a vacation home.

The shop is decorated in warm tones, using wood tones and clean whites. Upon entering, you'll find a small lawn and a highlighted riverside corner. Those who enjoy the view should definitely book a table by the river, as this location is truly superb. The cool breeze makes for a relaxing experience, making you forget the time.

🍴 Must-Try Food and Drinks

The menu here offers a full range of Thai and fusion dishes, but our favorites include:
• Nam Prik Long Ruea Fried Rice, a perfectly spicy dish that pairs perfectly with sweet pork and vegetables.
• Drunken Seafood Spaghetti, with bouncy noodles, spicy and fragrant with pepper, and bursting with seafood.
• The rich and smooth Dirty Coffee is so fragrant you'll want to order another glass.
• The mango cheesecake is a must-try for dessert. A refreshing and perfectly balanced blend of sweet and sour.

If you're looking for a romantic atmosphere, we recommend coming in the evening to watch the sunset. The orange light reflecting off the river is absolutely stunning! Every angle makes for a great photo opportunity.
