Wat Phutthaisawan is located in the "Wiang Lek" area, the original site of the royal residence of King Ramathibodi I (King U-Thong), who established the temple in 1353. It is considered the first royal monastery of Ayutthaya and remains relatively intact as it was spared from destruction by the Burmese.

Main Structures and Sacred Highlights

Principal Prang: 🏛️ Built in the Khmer architectural style, it stands at the center of the temple grounds, surrounded by cloisters, and houses a Buddha image.
