Wat Chalong, the largest temple in Phuket, was built in 1876 to heal and provide refuge for the wounded during the tin miners' revolt.
It is a place where faith and healing mediate the conflicts Phuket society has endured.
Entering the temple without shoes, you can see scenes from the life of Buddha and golden Buddha statues.
Admire the magnificent and intricate architecture and the harmony of red, gold, and white!
🌳 Address: 70 หมู่ที่ 6 Chao Fah Tawan Tok Rd, Chalong, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83000 Thailand
🌻 Admission: Free
⚘ Tip: If you visit on a hot afternoon, wear socks.
You must remove your shoes to enter the temple,
and the floor can be hot.
Firecrackers will often be loud, and this is a ritual to ward off evil spirits, pay homage to gods, or make wishes. Because the noise can be quite loud, it's a good idea to let your companions know in advance.
