Put Cho Shrine ⛩️⛩️
Put Cho Shrine or Jui Tui Peng Exan Guan Yin Biaw is another very old shrine in Phuket Province. It is located in the heart of the city next to Jui Tui Tao Bo Keng Shrine. It is a shrine that is over 100 years old. In the past, Put Cho Shrine was the Te Kun Shrine or Guan Yu Shrine, which was built as a wooden building with a thatched roof. But later, it was renovated to be a shrine for the Bodhisattva Guan Yin or Guan Yin Put Cho (Put Cho in Hokkien means Bodhisattva).
It is a shrine that Phuket people highly respect and is very connected to the way of life and traditions of Phuket people, whether it is asking for blessings to have children for those who have difficulty having children or wedding traditions for Phuket people. On the wedding day, almost every couple must come to pray for blessings. 👰🏻🤵🏻♂️❤️
Another famous story about Put Cho Shrine is the fortune sticks for curing diseases. When you get the fortune sticks, take them to a Chinese medicine shop to get them to prepare Chinese medicine. After that, eat them until many people have recovered from their illnesses. It can be considered a very sacred shrine. If you come to Phuket, don't miss it. ❤️❤️⛩️#Phuket #PhuketShrine #SaiMeu #PudJorShrine #ChuiTuiShrine #Thailand
