Phra Nang Sang Temple, Phuket Province

Wat Phra Nang Sang is one of the most important temples in Thalang and Phuket Province. It is highly revered by both Thais and foreigners, especially the Chinese. Those interested can pay their respects and visit it every day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. without an admission fee. In addition to the ancient sites, antiques, and sacred objects within the temple, the new chapel of the temple is exquisitely built, combining Thai and Chinese art. The outer walls are pink and blue, while the covered walkway is decorated with beautiful golden mythical animals. Above the covered walkway are inverted lotus petals on all sides, with five-headed nagas crawling on the petals. The front door to the covered walkway is made into a Buddha image begging for alms. Above the arch is a golden three-headed elephant pediment. Around the chapel is a circumambulation area. Each pillar inside the covered walkway is made into a golden dragon wrapped around the pillar.
