This special forces-style trip to Pingtan Island was truly stunning! Known as the "Maldives of the East," this small island combines azure seas with unique windmill farms in perfect harmony, every frame like a movie scene 🎬
🌊 3-Day Island Hopping Itinerary:
Day1:
📍 Longfengtou Beach: Pingtan's most famous beach, absolutely perfect for sunrise viewing! Arrive before 5am (Address: Longfeng Road, Pingtan County)
📍 Haitan Ancient City: Photogenic ancient-style architecture complex, best visited at dusk for sunset shots (Ticket: ¥60, open until 9pm)
🍴 Food Rec: Shisanmei Xianmishi Shop (Haitan Ancient City branch) for authentic Pingtan snacks
Day2:
📍 North Bay Ecological Corridor: Perfect combination of windmills + ocean, recommend renting an e-bike (Rental at corridor entrance)
📍 Changjiang'ao Windmill Farm: Breathtaking sunset views, bring a jacket as winds are strong
📍 Beigang Cultural Village: Artistic stone house village, filming location for "Where Are We Going, Dad?"
🍴 Food Rec: Haitan Special Snacks (Beigang branch), try Shilaiyunzhuan and fried eel
Day3:
📍 Houyan Island: Mainland's closest point to Taiwan, red walkway is super photogenic (Ticket: ¥38)
📍 Tannan Bay: Hidden gem beach with fewer crowds, try sailing experiences
🍴 Food Rec: Maoji Chaoshan Seafood Claypot Porridge (flagship store), incredibly fresh seafood
🚗 Transportation Tips:
1⃣️ Take high-speed rail from Fuzhou to Pingtan Station, direct buses available upon arrival
2⃣️ Recommend renting e-bikes on island (¥80-100/day), public transport isn't convenient
3⃣️ Book rentals in advance during holidays to avoid walking everywhere
📸 Photography Tips:
✅ White maxi dress + straw hat = perfect island photoshoot combo
✅ Bright colors stand out best at windmill farms
✅ Must bring tripod for time-lapse shots of breathtaking sunrises/sunsets
💡 Practical Notes:
• Reapply sunscreen constantly! UV rays are intense by the sea
• Carry some cash as some vendors don't accept digital payments
• July-August is blue tears season but also peak season with expensive accommodation
