While most visitors head to Wugong Mountain, Pingxiang offers a rich Red Tourism route that deserves a full day. Stroll through Anyuan Old Street, lined with charming Republic-era buildings, before stopping at the photogenic green train near Huangxing Bridge. Explore Shenggong Ancestral Hall with its restored German-style architecture, then visit the Great Negotiation Site, linked to Liu Shaoqi. Step into Zongping Coal Tunnel for a glimpse of miners’ tough lives, and finish at Chairman’s Former Residence, where Mao Zedong once stayed.
