Mauritius, a beautiful country I once visited and lived in.

The same blue skies and blue seas. Visiting once brings wonder and admiration. Visiting multiple times brings comfort and ease. Visiting for months brings a sense of emotion and habit. Visiting for years brings a sense of love, and I think this is true love.

Though, even now, I'm still not ready to leave her.

I think that even after returning to work in China, for a long time to come, a part of my heart will still linger between these white clouds and the azure sea. This Indian Ocean, filled with a blue elegance yet a touch of melancholy and mystery.

Late at night, I drift in and out of sleep. The youthful years of my overseas assignments and my many first experiences in life come flooding back to my mind. Many people, events, and experiences, along with the joys and sorrows of life. It seems like yesterday. If I hadn't actually lived here, I imagine my feelings about this beautiful island would be as wonderful as those of a trip abroad.

Thinking back on those little moments of life, those seemingly insignificant moments, those unexpected encounters, I'm truly moved. Just like first love, perhaps immature, it remains forever irreplaceable in everyone's heart.

Six years ago, we resolutely decided to move our family to a distant country to make a living.

Six years later, I will bring back these beautiful memories and cherish them.

I salute our family's courage in being stationed abroad together, and lament the youth we wanted to keep but couldn't.
