Jinhua Songxi Village's Stunning Ancient Alley

Jinhua's Hidden Free Ancient Village! Songxi Village: The Poetic Charm of Jiangnan Through a Thousand Years, Few People and Beautiful Scenery

Looking for an uncrowded, free ancient village full of Jiangnan charm? Hidden in Pujiang, Jinhua, Songxi Village perfectly meets all expectations—no entrance fee, free parking, yet it blends the poetic "white walls and black tiles, flowing water and homes" into a thousand years of history.

Just navigate directly to "Jinhua Pujiang Songxi Village," where there is a free parking lot at the village entrance. You don’t have to walk far after getting off the car to step into the village’s slow pace. A must-experience is the thousand-year-old stone slab road; the bluestone slabs have been polished smooth by time, and the crisscrossing alleys seem to hold stories. Just standing at the alley entrance for a photo instantly brings out a vintage vibe. Even more amazing is the village’s hidden stream wonder—the entire village is built over a hidden stream, and you can often hear the babbling water beneath your feet. Especially in summer, the coolness rises from underground, feeling even more refreshing than air conditioning.

If you love exploring history, don’t miss the Xu Clan Ancestral Hall. The ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties are exceptionally well preserved, with intricate wood and stone carvings full of craftsmanship. Standing inside, you can faintly feel the old ancestral hall culture. For a panoramic shot, climb the small hill behind the village. From the top, you’ll see a stretch of white walls and black tiles unfold. If you catch the smoke rising from cooking fires, it looks like a scene straight out of an ink painting.

Finally, here’s a little tip: it’s best to arrive around 3 or 4 PM. The sunset will bathe the ancient village in warm golden light, with soft lighting and fewer people, making every photo perfect. Before it becomes a popular check-in spot, hurry and experience this peaceful Jiangnan beauty.
