| A 3-Day 2-Night Guide to Unlocking the Secrets of Island Leisure. Hey, everyone! 👋 Today, I'm sharing a healing 3-day 2-night travel guide from Shanghai to Meizhou Island. On this beautiful island, I fully enjoyed the leisurely pace of life, and now I can't wait to share this wonderful experience with you~ Meizhou Island, with its sparse crowds and stunning scenery, is truly a hidden gem—I'm already planning my second visit! 😍
🌊 Pre-Trip Prep
Escape the hustle and bustle of Shanghai and head to the tranquility of Meizhou Island. Before you go, check the weather, pack light and comfortable clothes, sun protection, and rain gear. And of course, don’t forget your camera—there are so many beautiful sights to capture! 📷
🚗 Transportation Guide
🔸 Getting There
1. High-Speed Rail + Bus/Taxi: First, take the high-speed rail to Putian Station 🚄. After arriving, you have two options to reach Wenjia Pier:
- Take bus K09 or 363—affordable at just ¥9 per person, but the journey takes about an hour.
- For a quicker trip, take a taxi for around ¥80–90, which takes about 40 minutes 🚕.
2. Ferry: Once at Wenjia Pier, hop on a 15-minute ferry 🛳 to reach the enchanting Meizhou Island. Book your tickets in advance on the "Meizhou Island Ferry" mini-program—round-trip ferry + entrance ticket costs ¥125 💰.
🔸 Island Transportation
1. Electric Scooter: During peak season, taxis are hard to come by, so renting an electric scooter is a fantastic choice 🛵! At ¥80 per day, you can zip around the island freely, feeling the sea breeze as you go.
2. Private Car: If you’re worried about the sun, negotiate with your homestay owner for a private car 🚗, usually priced at ¥200–300 per day. You might even flex your bargaining skills to get a better deal 😉.
🏠 Top Accommodation Picks
The homestay I stayed at had a prime location 👍—just a few hundred meters east to a stunning coastline, north to the solemn Mazu Temple, and south to the fascinating Ewei Shenshi Park. No matter where you want to go, everything is within easy reach. When booking, consider this area for a super convenient island stay~
🌍 Must-Visit Spots
🔸 Romantic Moments - Chasing the Sun
1. Sunset at Ewei Shenshi Park: Though I missed the sunrise (oops! 😭), the sunset at Ewei Shenshi Park absolutely blew me away! As the golden light bathed the park, every shot I took looked like a masterpiece 😍. Imagine waves gently lapping at the rocks under the warm glow of the setting sun—pure magic~
2. Sunrise at Rainbow Road/Meiyu Tide Sound: If you want to greet the first rays of dawn, Rainbow Road and Meiyu Tide Sound are perfect spots. Sunrise is around 5:30 AM 🌅, so set your alarm and don’t miss this breathtaking ocean sunrise—it’s nature at its finest.
🔸 Leisurely Strolls - Island Walk
Rainbow Road and its surrounding coastal areas are like paradise on earth 🌈! The blue-and-white seaside road is quiet and uncrowded. Stroll along, feel the sea breeze brush your cheeks, and let go of all your worries as you soak in the serenity 😌.
🔸 Geological Wonder - Ewei Shenshi Park
Ewei Shenshi Park is like a natural geological museum, with its bizarre volcanic rock formations. The mysterious Feiji Cave seems to hold endless stories, while at Longdong Tide Listening Spot, waves crash against the rocks, creating a dramatic symphony 🎶. Add the sunset to the mix, and every corner becomes a perfect photo backdrop—guaranteed to rack up likes on your socials~
🔸 Spiritual Journey - Mazu Ancestral Temple
Mazu Ancestral Temple, the world’s first Mazu temple, is a sacred site for Mazu devotees worldwide 🧐. On Mazu’s birthday (23rd day of the 3rd lunar month), countless pilgrims gather here, creating a spectacular scene. If you’re not a devotee and prefer a quieter trip, avoid this period—otherwise, the island gets packed!
🍱 Food Discoveries
🔸 Putian Delicacies
1. A Chang Soy Milk Stir-Fry: A unique combo of soy milk and stir-fried ingredients—each bite is a delightful surprise, blending the richness of soy milk with fresh flavors 😋.
