Qingyuan in October is so comfortable 😭 Visiting Gulong Gorge in a warm and comfortable environment, I even found the fabulous Wenxuanju B&B, which truly captivated me!
✨ The location is absolutely amazing! It's only a 10-minute walk to the entrance of Gulong Gorge Scenic Area. I skipped the morning rush hour traffic and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, just in time for the park entrance. Driving is even easier, as there's free parking in the B&B's courtyard, saving me the scenic area parking fee and the hassle of finding a spot. After rafting, I was soaked and rushed straight back to shower. It was so refreshing!
In the afternoon, don't miss the scenic area's intangible cultural heritage market. From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, there are sugar figurine blowing and sugar painting performances. They're so sweet and fun, and they're even worth watching! Back at the B&B for the night, the owner was incredibly welcoming, sharing tips on exciting rafting routes and photo spots. He even helped with reservations for authentic local farm-style dishes.

🍲 Eating and drinking is incredibly convenient nearby, with a local restaurant just a 5-minute walk away. The Qingyuan chicken hotpot in October was incredibly delicious, and the steamed river fish were freshly made with fresh ingredients, all at a very reasonable price. After a satisfying meal, I returned to the B&B, which was quiet and comfortable, completely free of the noise surrounding the scenic area. A good night's sleep refreshed me.

If you're looking to escape the city in October for rafting and scenic views, this place is a must-see! It's close by, the service is excellent, and the value is great, making it easy to explore the entire Gulong Gorge without any hassles.
