Lingnan Style: Encounter Qinzhou Old Street

Qinzhou Old Street is a collective name for the ancient and modern traditional streets that still exist in Qinzhou. It is the earliest urban core area of Qinzhou and the hometown of national heroes Liu Yongfu and Feng Zicai. It mainly includes four main streets and alleys and surrounding traditional alleys: Chengnei Street (Song Dynasty), Zhulan Street (Ming and Qing Dynasties), Zhan'ao Lane (Qing Dynasty), and Zhongshan Road (Republic of China). Zhongshan Road and Zhan'ao Lane continue the historical context of Qinzhou, retaining a large number of cultural relics and historical buildings such as arcades, Sanxuantang, and Su Tingyou's former residence.
Zhongshan Road Arcade Street was built in 1934. "Arcades stand in great numbers, merchants come and go, and the streets are bustling with life." This is a true reflection of the prosperity of Qinzhou over the years.
There is also an eye-catching building in Arcade Street, Qinzhou Bookstore, built with floor-to-ceiling glass. The entire bookstore is clean, bright, and tidy, and is a free and humanistic public cultural space.
Su Tingyou's former residence was built in the Republic of China period, more than 100 years ago, and is the seventh batch of autonomous region cultural relics protection units.
Liu Yongfu's former residence was built in the 17th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1891). Because Liu Yongfu was awarded the title of Sanxuan Commander by the Nguyen Dynasty of Vietnam for his meritorious service in aiding Vietnam against France, it is called Sanxuantang. Liu Yongfu's former residence is the most magnificent and complete Qing Dynasty building complex still existing in Qinzhou.
When night falls, the fireworks gradually rise in every corner of Qinzhou Old Street. Qinzhou Old Street is brightly lit, with grilled oysters, pig's feet noodles, fried skewers, beef offal, barbecue, sweet soup, fried snails... After a day of running around and exhaustion, the deliciousness of the food is infinitely magnified!
