Take a trip to Wat Pa Pradu, a royal temple in Rayong

“Wat Pa Pradu” is located in Rayong on Sukhumvit Road. It is an old temple in Rayong. It is believed to have been built during the Ayutthaya period. It was promoted to a royal temple in 1980. It was originally called “Wat Pa Lelaiyok”. There was a monk named Upachaya Thian who came to ordain and practice Vipassana meditation here. The nearby villagers believed in him and invited him to build a hut and renovate the temple until it became prosperous. Later, the temple’s name was changed to “Wat Pa Pradu”.
