Full Bloom of Flowers: A Journey to the "Floating Island of Flowers"

An island covered in blossoms, earning its name as the "Floating Island of Flowers" without a hint of exaggeration. From one sea to another, from one shade of blue to a different hue, this island offers a mesmerizing experience.

Walking along the mountain flower trails, surrounded by butterflies and bees, even people seem to carry the fragrance of flowers. The island features seven recommended hiking trails, but considering time and equipment, only three were explored this time:
- Momoiwa Observatory Course
- Kyounuma Lakeside Course
- Cape Tour Course

Highlights include peach-shaped rocks, a cat-shaped rock arching its back as if standing on the sea, the well-equipped camping area by Kyounuma Lake, and the diverse terrains of the northernmost and western coasts. This remote island in the northernmost part of the Sea of Japan is home to around 300 species of alpine plants from spring to summer. With a population of just 2,352, it attracts many outdoor enthusiasts from abroad who come for cycling, motorbiking, hiking, camping, and trekking.

A three-day, two-night trip to "Rebun Island" offers breathtaking views from high vantage points, with endless skies and emerald waters creating a stunning panorama.

Attractions:
- Kita no Kanaria Park (filming location of the movie "A Chorus of Angels" starring Sayuri Yoshinaga)
- Momoiwa Observatory (featuring Momoiwa and Neko-iwa)
- Kafuka Well
- Kyounuma Lake
- Todo Island Observatory
