If you go to Rome, the Colosseum and Pantheon are must-see attractions!
The magnificent exterior, the history of ancient Rome, and the interior were all impressive.
Here's a tip!
👉 On the first Sunday of every month, not only the Colosseum and Pantheon, but most other historic sites are free!
You can save a lot on your travel expenses on this day because you can enter without purchasing a ticket.
The Colosseum alone costs around 18-20 euros, so this was a ray of hope for me.
I also happened to visit on the first Sunday of the month, and while the line was a bit long, I was able to enter within 30 minutes.
(If you're planning on going early in the morning, I recommend the opening run.)
*Opening hours seem to vary depending on the season, but when I went, the first opening was at 8:30 a.m.
The Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and Colosseum are all included with one ticket, so you can visit them all together. The recommended route is:
Palatine Hill -> Roman Forum -> Colosseum -> Pantheon. Because...
⭐️There's also a ticket booth on the Palatine Hill side, and the lines there are much shorter than the Colosseum ticket booth!!!!!!
However, some areas are closed on free admission days. But I think I saw everything worth seeing! If your schedule allows, I recommend trying for free admission!
