Switzerland → Italy, 7 Nights, 9 Days
We spent our final 1 night, 2 days sightseeing in Rome 🇮🇹
~Day 1~
We took the first train from Milan to Rome.
We dropped off our luggage at 11am and started sightseeing!
Our hotel was "The Hive Hotel."
We walked to Trevi Fountain → Santa Maria Basilica → Mouth of Truth → Colosseum.
From the Colosseum, we took the subway to Piazza di Spagna.
It's not impossible to get around on foot, but it's quite a bit of walking, so sneakers are a must!! We visited several tourist spots, but the roads leading up to them were filled with other attractions, the cityscape was stylish, and the views at the top of the hills were amazing—it was a lot of fun throughout! ✨
For lunch on Day 1, we had pasta 🍝
The three-item assortment was enjoyable and incredibly delicious! 💓
The seafood risotto my friend had was also incredibly tasty! I was impressed! I even made friends with the staff and had a great time! On the way to the Colosseum, I found a gelato shop and stopped in. Their lemon and mango gelato was the best I've ever had!
It had a fluffy texture. 🪽
Day 2
I took the subway to Vatican City.
For lunch, I had pizza and salad at a nearby restaurant. 🥗
The pizza here had a thin crust, so I ate it all in one go. It almost felt a little undercooked, lol.
After that, I went to the Spanish Steps again and did some high-end shopping. 🛍️
Since it was my last day, I took a break in the hotel lobby before heading to the airport.
My flight departed after 9 PM, so I was able to take my time sightseeing on my last day, which was great!
