A place with few people and beautiful scenery | Dali Dong Village

Dali Dong Village has more than 300 households. The terrain here is remote, and the population is not large.
But it has an extraordinary tranquility of a utopia.
It retains traditional living habits and architectural styles.
The pace of life is very slow, and the villagers are simple and hospitable, but sometimes 😭 the Dong language they speak is hard to understand.
Breathing the fresh air of the village, escaping the noisy city life.
Calm down, slow down, and feel the beauty of nature!
There are not many tourists in the village, so it is not commercialized and is very worth a visit.
.
📍Address: Dali Dong Village, Zhaima Town, Rongjiang County, Qiandongnan Prefecture
.
🎫Ticket: Free
.
🚌Transportation Guide:
After arriving at Rongjiang Station by high-speed rail, charter a car or take a taxi to the Dong Village. (The fare is about 100+)
.
🚘Self-driving: Navigate to Dali Dong Village, but parking is not very convenient. The mountain road is winding, and it is not recommended for inexperienced drivers to drive themselves.
.
⏰Opening Hours: All day, 2 to 3 hours for a visit
.
🌟Highlights:
✅Check-in at the five flower bridges of the Dong Village, each telling a story of the ages.
✅Walk through the oldest stone-paved ancient road in the Qiandongnan region.
✅See the 200-year-old four-sided wooden buildings.
✅Find the six ancient wells scattered throughout the village, with the most representative being the Mentun Well from the 37th year of Qianlong.
✅See the water granary, built on the water to facilitate grain storage and prevent fires and rats.
.
🥣Food:
There is not much to eat. After walking around, it seems there is only one farmhouse restaurant and two convenience stores, as well as small fruit stalls by the roadside. (Maybe there are more barbecue snack stalls during holidays, but when I went with my boyfriend, we didn't see any.)
.
🏨Accommodation:
There are homestays in the village, distributed in low and high areas. The view from the high areas is good, but carrying a suitcase up is very tiring. The village is not big, so you can consider a day trip.
.
📌Tips:
1️⃣During peak season holidays, cars cannot enter the village, and you need to take a shuttle bus for 5 yuan per person.
2️⃣Rongjiang's special foods include beef bile hot pot, rolled noodles, taro cake, sashimi, etc. (available in the county town)
3️⃣If you want to go to the morning market, try to go around 7-8 am. It disperses near noon. It is recommended to eat your fill at the morning market first, then slowly tour the Dong Village.
4️⃣There is a viewing platform near the village gate where you can see the panoramic view of the village. You can take pictures first before entering the village.
