My visit to Rottnest Island was hands down one of the most epic highlights of my Western Australia adventure! Only a quick ferry hop from Perth or Fremantle, and BAM — you’re in a whole new vibe: chill beaches, crystal-clear waters, and coastal views that are straight-up jaw-dropping 🤯.

The star of the show? The famous quokkas! These cuties are Insta legends, and meeting them IRL was unreal. They're super friendly and honestly so photogenic — if you don’t snap a quokka selfie, did you even go to Rottnest?! 😎📸

I toured the island the best way—by bike. There’s zero traffic (no cars allowed), so you get to cruise around, stumble on hidden beaches, and soak in turquoise bays and scenic lookout spots. My top picks for soaking up the sun and taking a dip: The Basin and Little Salmon Bay! The water at these spots is next level clear and perfect for swimming or snorkeling.

After all that exploring, chilling at a local cafe with ocean views is *chef’s kiss* soooo good! If you’re into hiking, there are gorgeous walking trails too.

What absolutely stole my heart? The chill, eco-friendly vibes and that fresh ocean air all day, every day 🌤️.
