InterContinental Seoul COEX Temple View Room (Spire)

The InterContinental Seoul COEX Hotel is currently undergoing a full renovation. Since you hold a Spire tier membership, your room was automatically upgraded by two levels from a standard Superior Room to a Temple View Room overlooking Bongeunsa Temple.

You were able to check in at 12 PM, received a room on the 27th floor, and were given two drink coupons along with a welcome fruit platter. This is likely why people strive to maintain their hotel membership tiers.

Upon entering the room, you enjoy the welcome fruit while taking a look around. The grass-patterned carpet, which you had seen in photos, leaves an impression, and the curved windows add a unique touch.

Although the ASEM Tower partially obstructs the view, you can still see the Han River, the Samsung-dong I'Park where actress Jun Ji-hyun resides, the Sports Complex, and even Songpa-gu, all forming a panoramic view.

Looking down to the left, you can see Bongeunsa Temple, but it seems the view would be more beautiful from a lower floor. From the 27th floor, only the temple roofs and the Great Buddha are visible, so the Temple View isn't as picturesque as expected.

However, the view of the Han River bridges and the overall scenery is still stunning. As expected from an older establishment, the heating and cooling systems, furniture, and bathroom design feel somewhat dated.

This might be why the hotel is currently undergoing renovations. Once the renovations are complete, given its prime location and the high brand value, it seems likely that the hotel will regain its former popularity. Thank you.
