Pangong Lake has a fascinating shape, resembling a swan with a long neck, which is also the origin of its name. The eastern part of the lake, within China's territory, is a freshwater area with lush vegetation, abundant fish and shrimp, and crystal-clear water that allows visibility up to several meters deep. In contrast, the western part, controlled by India, is a saltwater lake where no vegetation grows. The stark contrast makes it seem as though nature has reserved the most beautiful part for China.

However, keep in mind that the high altitude and thin air here can easily cause altitude sickness.
