#springitinerary Spent a few days along the Kinabatangan River in Sabah this spring and man, it was such a vibe. If you're into nature and wildlife, this place is a whole mood. We did a river cruise early morning and again in the evening, saw proboscis monkeys, hornbills, even a wild orangutan chilling in the trees. Lucky gila!
The river itself is super peaceful, just you, the boat, and endless greenery on both sides. The sounds of the jungle at sunrise? Can’t explain, so calming. The lodges are basic but comfy, and the locals are super friendly. Food’s simple but sedap, especially after a long day of exploring. Bring bug spray though, those mosquitoes don’t play!
It’s not your usual touristy spring trip, but if you love slow travel and want something unique, Kinabatangan’s got that magic. Confirm worth it if you’re looking to unplug and reconnect with nature.
