When I arrived in St. Petersburg, the first stop on my itinerary was the Hermitage Museum. From the moment I stepped outside, I felt immersed in history and grandeur. Even though I spent hours wandering around the Hermitage, one of the largest and oldest museums in the world, every corner felt like a unique discovery. Seeing the works of masters like Da Vinci, Rembrandt, and Michelangelo up close was an unforgettable experience. The magnificent halls inside the Winter Palace felt like I was walking through history. The museum is located on the banks of the Neva River and is easily accessible on foot from the city center. Alternatively, you can walk there in about a 10-minute walk from the Admiralteyskaya metro station. Even if you're not interested in art or history, the Hermitage is definitely a must-see.
