In Samarkand, only stay in the right place, not the expensive one!

Hotel prices in Uzbekistan are generally overpriced, with international chains often costing over $1,000. As for those seemingly beautiful hotels, they're often only beautiful in the public areas, with the rooms clearly out of proportion to the price. For a traveler like me who spends most of my time out and about, I certainly wouldn't waste money on a hotel that isn't for vacation purposes. After careful consideration, I settled on this hotel in Samarkand, located relatively close to the city center.

They have a variety of room types, but I'm drawn to the cheapest economy room. Its style is different from the other rooms, with simple wooden decor and a unique loft-style layout, which adds a touch of character. Breakfast was still minimal but excellent, not much different from other hotels. It seems like breakfast here is pretty standard, nothing special to look forward to. The pool and sauna on the basement floor require reservations, but they're quite nice and worth checking out when you return to the hotel that evening.
