Located in Sanchong District, New Taipei City, the "New Taipei City Library Sanchong Branch" is a public building steeped in history. The main structure is a classic gray-white cement building from the mid-20th century, featuring symmetrical stone steps and stone lion statues at the entrance, creating a solemn yet nostalgic atmosphere. This library holds cherished memories for the Sanchong community and is set to undergo redevelopment into a modern, multifunctional library, making its current appearance all the more precious.
📚 Built in the 1970s, the library was originally known as Sanchong Zhongzheng Hall, combining social education, sports, and library functions. After a comprehensive renovation, it became the Sanchong City Library, now housing a children's reading room, a self-study area, and a magazine section. The exterior retains its original architectural style, marking it as a significant cultural landmark in Sanchong's urban development.
🌴 The front yard is adorned with tall coconut trees, blending with the blue sky and urban scenery to create a tropical vibe, making it a popular spot for photography.
🛵 A free motorcycle parking lot is available near the side entrance, along with a YouBike rental station, offering great convenience for commuting students, self-study enthusiasts, and local residents.
