☝ This Zen temple was established around 1370. The main hall was rebuilt in 1778, and visitors can freely worship the Great Kannon Bodhisattva. The temple features one of only two thatched imperial envoy gates in Japan, welcoming worshippers. It is the 11th site among the 25 Kansai Flower Temples, and in April, visitors can enjoy the moss phlox. Unfortunately, in 2025, the peony garden in May and the iris garden in June will be closed. The soba noodles here are also famous, but please make sure to check the business days before visiting.
