Xisha Islands Day Trip Guide

The Xisha Islands are a pearl of China's South China Sea, with crystal-clear waters and rich marine ecology that will make you want to stay longer. Although a day trip is limited in time, you can still have an unforgettable experience with proper planning.

Pre-trip preparation:
1. Book your tickets 1–2 months in advance (currently only available by taking a designated cruise ship)
2. Prepare sun protection products (SPF50+ sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat)
3. Bring a waterproof phone case, swimsuit, slippers, etc.
4. Prepare seasickness medicine (the voyage takes approx. 4 hrs)

Itinerary:
Depart from Sanya Phoenix Island Pier at 7am. It is recommended to arrive 1 hr in advance to check in. The cruise ship has complete facilities, including a restaurant and viewing deck.

Arrive at Quanfu Island at approx. 11am, the only island open to visitors. Island activities include:
- Strolling on the beach: Step on the soft white sand and feel the glass-like sea
- Snorkeling experience (advance registration required): Observe coral and tropical fish
- Take photos: Island monuments, national flags, etc. are popular backdrops

Enjoy a buffet lunch on the cruise ship at noon with a variety of dishes. Seafood is recommended.

Afternoon activities:
1. Cruise: Go around Yinyu Island and Yagong Island to see the unique landforms from a distance
2. Sea fishing experience (optional)
3. Deck viewing: Look for traces of dolphins

The return journey is at approx. 4pm, and you will arrive back at Sanya Pier at approx. 8pm.

Precautions:
- You cannot take anything away from the island (including shells)
- Follow the instructions of the staff throughout the trip
- Protect the environment and take your trash with you
- There is no signal on the island, so please inform your family in advance

Best season: October–April of the following year (avoid the typhoon season)

Although time is tight, the beautiful scenery of Xisha is definitely worth it. Remember to take lots of photos. This pure blue color will make you reminisce for a long time!
