Day 5: Sapporo
As usual, Lawson checked in and had breakfast early in the morning🍳
Then take JR to Sangyuan Station🚉
🚶Walk around the seafood market in Sapporo Morning Market: The whole seafood market is not big and the prices are quite cheap. We chose Kitano Grumetei to eat rice bowl 🍣. The fish meat is still tender and delicious, but the soup tastes just okay
⛩️Visit the Hokkaido Shrine: It takes about 40 minutes to walk from Sapporo Morning Market. The shrine is really beautiful in the snow. Although there are many people, the atmosphere of the whole shrine is quiet and comfortable. It is worth a visit.
I accidentally walked to the nearby Rokkatei Jingu Teahouse: I bought the Jingu-limited Hougan-sama to eat, which is grilled mochi filled with red beans 🫘. It is not too sweet overall, and the outer skin is baked to a crispy texture. Paired with the free tea provided in the store, it is very suitable for sitting down and enjoying after visiting the temple.
In addition, the store is also very considerate and sells one bag of popular products as souvenirs. I also bought a bag and I felt that it was really delicious when I ate it at home. 😋
Then I walked around downtown Sapporo and randomly chose a hidden basement restaurant.
🍛Curry Soup S: The flavor is completely different from the soup curry I had last time. It is a thinner curry, which feels a bit like innovative cuisine. The soup has less curry flavor. Apart from the fact that it is a soup curry, it is good, but I don’t want to come back next time.
We felt that there was not much to do in Sapporo city, so we took the bus back.
Went to Wing Bay Otaru in Otaru Port🚉 to shop and bought wagyu beef, instant noodles, cooked food, scallops and salmon back to the hotel🏨 for dinner. It was a high-end supermarket meal☺️
