Sky-High Splendor in Sapporo

On a chilly winter night, my partner and I stood beneath a glowing, geometric bell tower overlooking a sea of city lights. The moment we held hands and rang the bell together, it felt like time stood still. This spot wasn’t just a photo op—it was a memory-maker, a place where love echoes into the night sky.
We found this romantic lookout spot during our winter trip to Hokkaido, and it instantly became one of our favorite memories. The gentle snow, the sparkle of the city below, and the symbolism of the bell created an experience that felt both intimate and grand. It’s one of those moments that reminds you how magical travel—and love—can be.
Tips for Fellow Travelers:
• Go at night: The city lights create a stunning backdrop. If it’s snowing, even better—it adds a touch of fairytale charm.
• Bundle up: It gets cold up there, so dress warm and cozy for comfort and great photos.
• Hold the moment: Don’t rush! Take your time ringing the bell together. It’s a symbolic gesture that many couples treasure.
• Bring a tripod or ask someone: To get a beautiful shot like ours, having someone to take the photo—or a tripod set up—is a must.
• Check if it’s a local tradition: Some bell spots have legends tied to love or good luck. It’s fun to learn and be part of it!
