Nanzoin Temple #TheWorld'sLargestRecliningBuddhaTemple
Located in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan

This temple is famous for asking for good fortune.

Recommended by #spiritualists, jot down the coordinates.

The Buddha statue was built in 1995 and is made of copper mixed with tin. It weighs over 300 tons. It is very large, about the same size as the Statue of Liberty.

• Open: 10:00-16:30
• No admission fee (except for entering the Buddha statue, which costs 500 yen).
• Travel recommendations: From Fukuoka, take the JR Sasaguri Line and get off at Kido Nanzoin Mae Station (4 stations). It takes 20 minutes on the train and then walk up the mountain to the temple for about 5 minutes.
