The Quiet Charm of the Japanese Maples
I visited the Woodland Garden specifically to see the collection of over 70 varieties of Japanese Maples, and it was a breathtaking, intimate experience that was, thankfully, free. This specific section is tucked into a serene valley, making it feel like a secret garden. It's especially gorgeous in the fall, but even the delicate leaves and unique branching structure in the summer are a sight to behold. It’s a perfect spot for artists to sketch or writers to find inspiration without having to spend a cent on entry or coffee shop seating. This is quiet, high-quality nature therapy.
