Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture is the largest city in the Tohoku region, and Tsutsujigaoka Park within the city is not only one of Japan's top 100 urban parks but also a famous spot for viewing cherry blossoms at night in Sendai.

Tsutsujigaoka Park is conveniently located in the city center of Sendai. You can take the JR Senseki Line to Tsutsujigaoka Station, and the park entrance is right at the station exit, making it very accessible.

On regular days, the park is a quiet leisure spot for locals. However, during the cherry blossom season each year, the area under the trees becomes lively with people gathering for picnics.
