[Miyagi] Viewing Vermeer at the Miyagi Museum of Art

A prefectural art museum at the foot of Aoba Castle in Sendai.
The museum holds special exhibitions focusing on artists with ties to the Tohoku region. On the day we visited, works by Dutch masters Rembrandt and Vermeer were on display, and despite it being a weekday, it was extremely popular.
We also enjoyed the bronze works of Sato Tadayoshi. The autumn leaves are still at their best in Miyagi. The red leaves and the bricks of the museum stand out.
